47. Sidetrack to Budapest and Cluj

Monday 21 MAY 2018 – St. Augustine, FL

Ava and I are finally back on Netzah! We are sitting in the shadow of the Castillo de San Marcos in the Matanzas River, St. Augustine, Florida, waiting to resume our cruise. For the past three weeks we have been traveling in the U.S. and eastern Europe while Glenn has moved the boat here on his own from the Bahamas to this very spot.

A few months ago I received an invitation to the Zilele Arhitecturii conference in Cluj-Napoca, Romania from the students at the architecture school there to come do a lecture.  (To read the lecture go here.) When my mom wanted to come we made a three generation gal trip our of it. My mom, Ava, and I traveled together to Budapest and Cluj for nine days and had a great time. In the chaos of the travel I haven’t been writing much. Instead, I am posting a series of pictures I took from our travels. I am resuming the writing this week, however, so if that’s why you come here… stay tuned. In the meantime, here are the pics.
